Episode 4 - 1641 Depositions
Trinity College Dublin has joined forces with a number of partners (University of Aberdeen and The University of Cambridge) to digitise the 5000 or so witness statements that comprise the 1641 Depositions (http://www.tcd.ie/history/1641/). The original depositions are stored in around 30 bound volumes in Trinity's library.
History Journal spoke with Dr Micheál Ó Siochrú of Trinity College about the project and what this rich source of information has to offer researchers, students and readers of Irish history.
