Mariners Project seeks help
Author Julie Parsons is on a quest to re-discover the history of the Mariners' Church in Dun Loaghaire.
The Mariners' Church in Dun Laoghaire, built in 1837 and for generations of Church of Ireland people, the heart of their cultural, spiritual and social life. It closed in 1971 and its congregation dwindled away. Julie has started the Mariners Project to discover what happened to the parishioners who lived in the streets and squares of Dun Laoghaire or Kingstown as it was called. If you have any information to share, contact Julie at the Mariners Project.
