The Irish History journal has started an exciting new project to document the many Famine Memorials around Ireland and across the world.

Inspired by the work to restore St Marks famine graveyard near Cashel, the Journal researched other famine memorials and found a mixed bag of results.

We are therefore keen to capture all Famine Memorials, old, new and restored and publish them in a Famine Memorial directory on our site.
